This program began on April 8th, 2017, when several
Master Gardeners’ helped our junior gardeners (ages 1 to 14)
plant perennials at the Library. This first meeting was a
success and continues into the summer. Library Board member and
Master Gardener, Patty Slicer, saw this dream become real,
because there was a need to beautify the Library property while
teaching young children the joy of gardening. The local Master
Gardeners awarded our gardeners with $1,400 to purchase needed
materials, trees and flowers. A generous donation of perennials
came from Home Depot, as well as trees from the City of Branson.
Monies from supporters of the project also helped in supplying
materials for this project.
The Junior Gardeners will meet every two weeks at the Library.
Registration is preferred: call 334-1418 or stop by to signup
your child. Gardeners are to wear gloves and work clothing.
